POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is primarily responsible for supporting the 2nd LOD Compliance Testing activities of the enterprise. The position supports Testing and Monitoring the company’s effectiveness to regulatory requirement adherence, communication of findings and validation of data.

JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The position assists in the identification, detection and prevention of the possible regulatory violations. Perform ongoing Compliance Testing; Risk monitoring and evaluation of regulatory Compliance performance within the Operational Business Units. Perform loan level testing reviews for requirements such as (RESPA, TILA, and FDCPA) to ensure operational consistency with Business process and regulations. Produces compliance related status reports to Management.
•Perform and manage end to end testing independently
•Develop test procedures and perform loan analysis reviews to assess the effectiveness of Business Unit processes and controls
•Actively participate and contribute in ad-hoc projects that strengthen the internal compliance environment
•Should be capable of understanding mortgage processes and related risks, preparing regulatory test plans and reports
•Communicate results verbally and in writing to members of senior management
•Work with various business unit representatives and process owners on Compliance related activities as needed
•Maintain and update appropriate work papers and tracker
•Assist in maintaining the Compliance Manuals with latest processes and updates (on Policy Tech)
•Should be able to evaluate the remediation processes provided by Business Units and timely close the issues
•Addressing various ad-hoc requests from internal and external Business Units
•Identifying opportunities to enhance the processes and tools used to perform testing, document test work and report results
•Recommend opportunities for cost savings or process improvements
•Develop and maintain proactive working relationships with personnel across the Company
•Respect the confidentiality of the workplace, its clients, and employees


Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent is required
• Minimum 3 to 5 years mortgage industry experience of which a minimum of 1 year in a Compliance or Quality role is preferred

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

• CA/CIA/CISA/CRCM is preferred

TRAINING / LICENSING REQUIREMENTS (only add if needed)


General working knowledge of regulatory requirements related to the functions of loan servicing.
• Understanding of the Mortgage Industry, Loan Servicing, Default Servicing and basic financial processes preferred
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) required
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Candidate should be both self-motivated and a team player
• Ability to prioritize workload and multitask. Must be able to handle a high
• volume workplace environment
• Possess strong analytical skills and extraordinary attention to detail
