Job Description

The Tax Supervisor will be responsible for managing deadline driven processes, payment of real estate tax, and research related items on Ocwen’s servicing portfolio.  This position will report directly to the Senior Manager, Tax Services.                                      
  • Monitoring servicing portfolio for accurate and timely payment of real estate tax, ensuring compliance with all state, federal, and investor requirements
  • Collaborate with Tax Sr. Manager and all members of tax management team to monitor staffing model to ensure adherence to budget and business need
  • Assist with the monitoring of the Tax Vendor relationship and performance
  • Overseeing the management of the automated Tax Amount Reporting (TAR) process
  • Assist offshore with research items providing guidance and direction
  • Work closely with OMS, ERM, CE, etc to resolve escalations and customer complaints timely and accurately
  • Obtain appropriate approvals, package, and release disbursement checks in a timely manner; ensure controls are implemented for security and tracking purposes
  • Work closely with Tax Management and Compliance to provide information requested in audits
  • Assist with the recovery of corporate advances through claims processing
  • Resolve escalated customer complaints
  • Provide leadership for all related projects
  • Coordinate meetings, as needed and facilitate the project portfolio review meeting

  • Bachelors/Masters Degree in related field preferred
  • Solid knowledge of and demonstrated experience in people management
  • Extensive experience with tax processing or tax service industry
  • Six Sigma Certification a plus
  • Knowledge of change management processes
  • Extensive experience in meeting planning and facilitation
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project)
  • Comfortable in ambiguous and fast paced environment
  • Crisp communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to build relationships with and influence other functional areas
  • Organization and time management skills: Operates independently with minimal guidance by management
  • Problem-solving skills with ability to perform root cause / corrective action analysis
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in parallel
