POSITION SUMMARY: The position requires managing the end to end Law-Litigation Intake process and the Litigation Intake team consisting of 40 members. The Litigation Intake team receives about 250 legal documents daily from various sources. It is imperative to ensure that these legal documents are timely reviewed and responded by the Legal intake team. It also requires managing the various requests received from internal business units or investors/trust requesting for the update on the Litigation matters. There will also be requests from the Managing Counsel Network for documents or updates on the legal matters assigned to the counsel. Also ensuring that the Managing Counsel invoices are timely processed and paid and providing timely management reports is also a requirement of the position. The position requires the candidate to have an in-depth knowledge of the US Mortgage process along with great time and people management skills.

JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

•Ensuring timely review and responding to the daily legal document
•Imperative that the company and/or its investors/trust are not exposed to defaults or monetary damages due to incorrect handling of legal documents
•Leading the India Intake team and providing necessary direction as and when required
•Ensuring that the team opens and assign the legal matters to the Managing Counsel in a timely manner.
•Providing necessary support to the Managing Counsel on the active litigation matters
•Providing necessary updates to the Business Units and or investors/trust
•Ensuring prompt response to the investor/trust on the legal expenses incurred for necessary reimbursement of expenses
•Maintaining necessary legal intake reports
•Providing the financial reports to the management
•Providing necessary accrual information to the finance team on the legal expenses
•Define, implement and & improve the quality standards, processes & plans for various legal intake operations
•Ensuring that the process and procedures are timely updated with any new changes.
•Having a great rapport with the team members and with the various stakeholder of different business units
•Understanding company’s core value and ensuring that the team members understand the same
•Having a clear understanding of the Company’s goals, department goals and individual goals and aligning them for a overall success of the organization
•In-depth knowledge of the US Mortgage process
•Understanding of the Legal Intake process and providing necessary directions to the team and the management for a successful result
•Deep understanding of the various process within the company


Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE


• The candidate should be a Law graduate
• In-depth knowledge of the US Mortgage process and should be aware of the Litigation Intake process
• Should have a minimum of 12 years of experience which should include about 4 years of experience in leadership capacity of managing a team in Mortgage Industry.
• Ability to establish benchmarks for productivity and profitability
• Proven ability to organize, prioritize, coordinate and delegate projects/process
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent presentation skills
• Ability to collaborate and foster relationships with individuals, internal Business Units and External Customers/vendors at all levels within and outside the organization
• Adaptable and willing to embrace organizational change
• Ability to motivate and develop team members
