POSITION SUMMARY:

• Point person for Financial Management within the IT organization
• Responsibilities include budgeting, monthly tracking, reporting, analysis, and benchmarking of the entire IT spend
• Key driver of cost reduction activities within the IT organization


JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

FINANCE


• Support the execution and documentation of Budget & Financial Management processes which consists of annual budgeting and forecasting, monthly/quarterly financial reporting, cost allocation/chargeback, balance sheet management, and accounts payable management
• Meet with functional leaders to review budget/actuals information and develop cost reduction plans
• Own financial management processes to control IT costs
• Develop overall IT dashboards and KPIs for IT functions

GENERAL

• Define a problem through consultations, meetings and analysis
• Review and analyze information through different sources, reports, and research
• Develop and present well thought out solutions and recommendations for management
• Lead and facilitate group discussions with business units & employees to achieve desired outcomes
• Act as key influencer within the IT organization to forward the direction and strategy of the team
• Ability to formulate solutions quickly
• Presents information in a well-structured fashion
• Able to understand a problem, break it into smaller parts and provide a structure for its resolution

• Comfortable with an unpredictable work schedule; able to handle sudden or unexpected questions or requests
• Able to understand strategies and general guidance to plan and execute accordingly
• Able to perform work directly without need to delegate to others
• Able to adapt to different situations and working styles

COMMUNICATION

• Strong communication and social skills
• Able to confidently interact with senior management
• Able to influence people without having direct authority
• Ability to express thoughts in a clear manner


Qualifications

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

• MBA or Finance degree from a top school
• 5 – 10 years of experience working in analytic related role

SKILLS

• Ability to build processes that create operational value and minimize risk
• Demonstrate the ability to think & work independently
• Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Able to work well under pressure
• Effectively manage time; able to meet tight deliverable timelines
• Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiar with Excel formulas and advanced features

PREFERRED

• Experience in management consulting or similar role
• Experience in Mortgage, Financial Services Operations or related domain of a large financial institution
• Ability to effectively communicate with senior leaders on strategies and plans and negotiate quality solutions
• Ability to work in a fast- paced environment and is adaptable to changing priorities
• Proven ability to adapt to and manage organizational change
• Experience with analytical tools, such as Qlik Sense, Tableau, etc.
