The Growth Initiatives and Lending Finance Leader has ultimate responsibility to provide planning, strategic and operational support to senior management with a focus on driving business growth and operational efficiency. This position is responsible for providing current and future reporting tools, processes and formats for management. This position will report to the Chief Financial Officer with a dotted line to the Executive Vice President of Growth of Ocwen Financial Corp, manage a team, and work with the senior leaders across the organization to identify and realize opportunities to improve growth profitability.


JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Managing daily operations for the Lending Finance department from both a control and efficiency perspective. Will be involved with resolving issues and formulating solutions to prevent future issues and improve upon existing processes.
  • Validate and improve on existing revenue metrics and create new resources for data-driven insights to drive sustainable analytics and reporting on product and portfolio level revenue drivers.
  • Educate the business leadership team on monthly reporting packages, financials, and planning processes including high-level messages, insights and business impact. Researches and implements better uses of available financial data.
  • Prepares detail of work plan and schedule, completes detailed analysis and research, identifies options, prepares reports for management, and recommends actions or changes.
  • Manage and perform analysis on profitability and provide value chain analytics to support senior leader decisions to acquire, divest, or maintain assets.
  • Coordinate with corporate FP&A on actual expenses for the Lending and Growth organization in comparison to budget and forecast, including issuing monthly variance statements.
  • Validate and improve on existing metrics used to calculate direct operating expenses (cost to service) that are included in pricing models and used to acquire servicing assets. Additionally, expand on the metrics or create new resources to formulate robust cost analytics to improve operational and financial efficiency.
  • Mentor Finance staff providing a work environment that fosters continued education and professional development.

Qualifications

Education / Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related area is required for this position.
  • CPA or MBA preferred.
  • At least eight years of progressive experience in finance including five years or more in a leadership position.​
  • Ability to independently analyze, lead and present with very limited guidance.
  • Strong influencing and inter-personal skills.
  • A broad knowledge of the mortgage servicing industry, is preferred.
  • Ability to lead teams, especially across locations and time zones, is highly valued.
  • Hands on accounting experience.
  • Responsible for reporting to all levels of management and will require excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills.
  • Must be proficient in all Microsoft Applications with an emphasis on Excel and Access.
  • Project management skills including the ability to organize and manage multiple projects.​
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking ability. Experience establishing strategies and roadmaps for business, technologies and people to meet financial and corporate goals.
