Position: Senior Bond Analyst

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Bond Analyst will be responsible for prioritizing and implementing monthly production cycle work to effectively and efficiently conduct current operations. Collaborate with other department leaders to define, prioritize and implement strategies to achieve process improvement and alignment across the entire Master Servicing organization and within Securities Administration.

Responsibilities:

  • Review legal documents governing the formation and authorized activities of securitization trusts and whole loan transactions to ensure compliance and proper execution of Master Servicing responsibilities and obligations.
  • Define/refine application specifications as necessary to ensure compliance with applicable legal, technical and governmental requirements and as related to area of specific expertise. Perform preliminary to extensive testing and results reconciliation, on all delivered programs, enhancement, and fixes, as required.
  • Understand business objectives to ensure technical, REMIC, and process implications are incorporated in the process design. Proactively anticipate programming and process issues.
  • Create and maintain documentation of business developed application requirements and procedures for execution of processes within the department. Support the gathering of requirements for applications supported by others.
  • Support Bond Administration in its responsibility to ensure the timely delivery of information to investors, third parties and other regulatory entities, as well as any internal data users.
  • Execute technical production tasks in compliance with department procedures and controls. Identify process gaps and recommend appropriate controls to manager. Provide training and assistance to team members as needed and as related to area of specific expertise
  • Model new securitizations, as assigned, using Intex software.
  • Perform preliminary to extensive testing and results reconciliation on collateral and bond cash flows.
  • Run existing securitization models monthly to calculate distribution payments to investors.
  • Maintain existing securitizations in the Intex software and Home Equity distributions systems as assigned.
  • Analyze current processes and procedures, identify needed change, and implement solutions.
  • Clear collateral variances or cash variances identified through the various control and validation processes.
  • Review, negotiate and recommend action on requests for proposed process changes or reporting corrections within the timeframes established by management.
  • Track Servicer reimbursements to ensure appropriate cash transactions and timing of impact to deal cash flows and recommend corrective action to the manager, as necessary.
  • Handle escalated issues, as assigned, in support of management requiring higher level expertise and broader industry perspective.
  • Achieve performance metrics as required for a Bond Analyst.
  • Participate on various projects and other duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Mathematics, Accounting, Economics, Engineering or similar experience.
  • 2 years of increased responsibility in areas of Investor Reporting or Mortgage Banking.
  • Strong skills using Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel and Access) and database software.
  • Intermediate level skills in SQL and VBA.
  • Ability to read and understand legal documents related to mortgage securities.
  • Understanding of mortgage securitization/master servicing processes.
  • Strong verbal (negotiating and presentation) and written communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize assignments and handle multiple projects/assignments.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective business relationships, internal and external.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to achieve tight deadlines in a timely manner.
  • Decision making abilities that demonstrate focus on the customer and recognition of business objective

Salary and Other Compensation: The salary range for this position is expected to be between $61,300.00 - 76,600.00 per year, depending on geographic location, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Pursuant to Colorado regulations, if this job is performed in Colorado, the salary range for this position is expected to be between $61,300.00 - 76,600.00 per year, depending on geographic location, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
