Job Description

The Senior Project Manager will have overall responsibility to manage a portfolio of strategic projects for the Capital Markets and Originations Divisions of the Company. This position will report directly to the Director of Project Management for this division.

Primary Responsibilities
• Provides direction to product, service or solutions teams by creating and maintaining the functional specification for each product.
• Responsible for the deliverables, cost, schedule, and quality of the products.
• Coordinates communication plans for multiple products, allocates and directs staff and other resources to accomplish project tasks, and maintains control over each product schedule.
• Responsible for issues resolutions within the projects and delivery of IT solutions to fit the needs of the business.
• Monitors the progress of the product teams, informs the team of its progress and provides the team with support and direction.
• Acts as team's primary interface to IT and Business Partners.
• Works on projects with high complexity, size, and scope and can manage the risks involved with the project
• Manage the project portfolio projects assigned and related priorities to drive alignment with all business units and other key stakeholders.
• Provide leadership for strategic and operational projects to improve the service delivery to our clients
• Will determine new methods and develop new procedures for accomplishing work.
• Provides work direction and assigns tasks to lower level employees.
• Work is at the highest level and requires an evaluation of all known methods, company practices and goals.
• Identifies or creates solutions that are likely to contribute to the development of new company concepts.
• Interfaces with all levels of management to negotiate project priorities and outcomes.

• Bachelors/Masters Degree in project management or business-related field with at least 8+ years experience.
• Ability to manage IT projects that are high in complexity, size, and scope
• Expert knowledge of Project Management methodologies and tools and the software development
• life cycles
• Ability to thoroughly understand the business issues surrounding each project
• Ability to utilize extensive project management experience to act as the team's primary interface
• between IT and the business sectors
• Ability to manage project issues, conflicts, risks, and deliver projects within budget and scope
• Ability to negotiate and deliver quality solutions to customers and develop process improvements where applicable
• Knows the customer's business and/or seeks information about the real underlying needs of the customer, beyond those initially expressed and not obvious to others. Matches those needs to available (or customized) products and/or services to meet those needs.
• Negotiates to resolve customer issues by seeking win-win solutions that add value to the customer.
• Develops unique strategies to promote the effectiveness of the group.
• Maintains clear and open communications with project team members and customers.
• Creates a climate of collaboration and teamwork among team members and customer groups.
• Ensures that all members of the team and those with whom they interact build relationships and trust to achieve business objectives.
• Able to effectively relate his/her technical expertise to varying organizational needs; knows when and how the technical content can be legitimately tailored to fit different departments and customer needs.
• Efficiently applies topical knowledge and expertise to make significant solutions for customer groups and the entire business.
• Recognizes the value of a multi-industry perspective and applies best practices to create innovative solutions.
• Determines process and priorities based on the requirements of a situation. Quickly adapts approach as the situation changes.
• Applies a systematic problem-solving approach to gather needed information, evaluate alternatives,
• develop contingencies, and prioritize actions.
• Generates sound solutions for complex business problems; anticipates obstacles and establishes next steps.
• Works with the customer to involve the right people; solicits input, knows and plans for stakeholder impact
• Sees the opportunity to act and make a difference. Takes the initiative to do so without over-analyzing or waiting until it is too late.
• Willing to accept short term solutions that meet critical and immediate needs, but may not be perfect for the long run so that projects and systems can move forward
• Takes full advantage of opportunities to develop his/her skills; pursues development opportunities both within and outside the IT area.
• Establishes challenging developmental goals to expand capability and to take on new and more advanced work roles.
