Senior Business Analyst, Client Relations

POSITION SUMMARY:
PHH Mortgage Corporation is looking to hire an ambitious individual looking to develop their work experience. The Business Analyst will work closely with clients, as well as internal departments, to develop applications, reports, and ad hoc queries to meet the demand for client requests.

Under the direction of the Client Relations Manager, the analyst will be responsible for periodic reporting, deliverables, coordinating special requests and handling responses. They should be inquisitive to the business' operations and develop ideas and strategies within the team to improve the quality and visibility of reporting.

JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This position lies within the Client Relations area of the business. The responsibilities are as follows:
• Use SQL, SharePoint, Access, and Excel to build and maintain databases and applications
• Create SQL queries to build and automate reports
• Utilize MS Excel formulas/Macros to manipulate data, where applicable
• Assist Client Manager with day-to-day items communicated by the client
• Develop ad hoc reports and queries based on client requests, inquiries, and escalated issues
• Communicate regularly with management on issues, constraints, and status of projects
• Work with other analysts, or business leaders, to develop solutions by breaking down process requirements and technical languages, studying system capabilities, and preparing system specifications
• Use data mining techniques to analyze information from multiple source systems
• Proactively develop recommendations for cost-saving initiatives to improve production and eliminate waste

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

• BA/BS degree preferred, or combination of experience and education in mortgage banking
• Knowledgeable in residential servicing practices and/or reverse mortgage experience preferred
• 2+ years in reporting and analytics required
• SQL experience required
• Advanced Excel skills preferred
• Aptitude and desire to acquire new technology skills necessary
• Effective communication skills, written and verbal, both technically and professionally
• Ability to work collaboratively with other groups including business analysts, business leaders, and end users
• Ability to work independently to identify solutions and implement reporting processes
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

WORK SCHEDULE OR TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

• India night shift which aligns with US eastern time zone
• No travel requirements
