POSITION SUMMARY: The primary responsibility is to ensure that all periodical compliances under the provisions of Philippines Tax Laws and PEZA Regulations are performed within the prescribed timelines. The resource will also assist in regular month close and other activities of Accounting function.

JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare and submit the periodical tax returns or reports with the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) / Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) within the prescribed timelines
• Coordinate with the Tax Advisors for timely filing of Annual Corporate Tax Return
• Maintain track of all tax notices received along with status and to ensure that the notices are responded with in the time frame
• Collaborate with internal business unit teams to obtain the information needed for Tax compliances and ensure compliance with all regulatory provisions relating to Tax Laws and Regulations.
• Provide advice to Accounts Payable team on the withholding taxes applicability
• Perform monthly reconciliations of Tax and Other General Ledger Accounts and work special projects
• Computation of Quarterly Advance tax liability/Annual Tax Liability and ensuring the tax payment within the timelines
• Provide the information and clarifications to the Statutory auditor with in the audit time frame
• Keep abreast of changes in Tax laws and regulations, assess the impact of changes on the company and identify if any existing process requires a change on account of amendment in laws and regulations
• Inform the changes in Tax laws and regulations to the internal stakeholders and initiate the process changes required due to amendment in Tax laws and regulations
• Handle all Financial Accounting transactions & General Ledger - Carrying out Monthly/Quarterly/Annual closure activities
• General ledger review; analysis/recordation of monthly accruals in close co-ordination with Business unit heads and Accounts payable team
• Account Reconciliations – ensuring general ledger balance sheet amounts are accurate & reflect proper balances; identify, document, track & explain transactional differences between GL and SL; identify and guard against fraudulent activity and reduce losses
• Review monthly results and reporting monthly variances
• Collaborate with Business unit teams to obtain information needed for accounting compliances
• Fixed Asset accounting & Management
• Prepare monthly MIS; Dashboards; other metrics for presenting in various review meetings
• Preparation of Budget on an annual basis
• Preparation of timely Quarterly/Annual Financial statements in accordance with PFRS and USGAAP
• Inform the latest amendments in Financial accounting laws and regulations and recommend required process changes
• Responsible for Statutory audits and liase with internal and external auditors in completion of Audits
• Liase with the Company Secretary in fulfilling the secretarial formalities and compliances
