Partner with each of the Ocwen servicing areas to develop and maintain strong relationships pertaining to the oversite of Bankruptcy.
Oversee communication with Bankruptcy counsel, trustees, investors, and vendors to promote a best-practice environment for Bankruptcy.
Analyze current processes and procedures, identify needed change, and implement solutions.
Communicate Ocwen goals, guidelines, requirements and other recommendations to team members and ensure appropriate communication to servicers, investors, and other parties holding interest in the mortgage loan as required.
Handle escalated issues requiring higher level expertise and broader industry perspective and knowledge.
Support team members through training and reviewing matters exceeding associate authorization.
Participate on various projects and cross-functional ad hoc teams and other committees as assigned.
Manage Bankruptcy staff in multiple locations while ensuring department and company goals are achieved.
Provide and implement suggestions to enhance performance, policies, procedures, and company objectives.
Ensure internal controls are effective, adhered to, tested, and updated as needed.
Motivate staff to achieve all goals with a focus toward high quality standards through communication, visibility, training, and sharing of key information ensuring all accounts are worked timely and accurately.
Write, review, and conduct annual performance appraisals.
Create and implement new procedures and policies to ensure a smooth and effective workflow.
Partner with internal departments to ensure upstream and downstream process work as intended.
Continually educate staff with procedures, policy, and training while monitoring performance daily, weekly, monthly, and annually.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the following education and/or experience:
Strong leadership skills are required to provide guidance to employees, set clear attainable goals, maintain open communication, hold team accountable for results, and question the status quo.
High School diploma required. College degree preferred.
Minimum of seven years of experience in Bankruptcy.
Preferred knowledge of Loan Servicing and all support area functions.
Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
Strong verbal (negotiating and presentation) and written communication skills.
Ability to effectively prioritize assignments and handle multiple projects/assignments.
Ability to read, understand and analyze loan documents.
Decision making abilities that demonstrate focus on the customer and a recognition of Ocwen’s business objectives
Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team
Ability to build and maintain effective business relationships, internal and external
Ability to analyze large amounts of data from diverse sources to identify opportunities and drive results.
General knowledge of loan servicing and ability to network with supporting and dependent business units.
Ability to develop strategic short and long term goals.
Strong critical and analytical thinking to discover opportunities, develop enhancements, and implement those enhancements.
