Position Summary:

The Manager, Credit and Market Risk Management will work closely with the Senior Manager and VP, Credit and Market Risk in developing, implementing and managing the company's enterprise level credit, market, liquidity and counterparty financial risk management frameworks in partnership with the Chief Risk Officer. The position will play a pivotal role in reinforcing the risk culture at Ocwen through close collaboration with Capital Markets, Lending, Asset Management and Servicing business units as well as other corporate functions such as the Treasury, Finance and Accounting.

Examples below:

• Collaborate closely with senior and executive management to ensure that the businesses understand and fully own all the relevant risks as the company's "first line of defense"
• The successful candidate will understand the relationships between quantitative and qualitative risks, assist in managing and enhancing the risk appetite statement, disseminate the enterprise-wide risk management philosophy, participate in various risk management working sessions, and work effectively with the other risk departments
• Monitor the credit, market, counterparty, liquidity and financial risk-taking activities for all Lending, Asset management and Servicing business units, and must provide timely and accurate reporting of these activities, including emerging risks
• Collaborate with the Risk Management modeling and analytics teams in order to develop relevant quantitative measures for programs as needed (i.e. pull-through modeling, delinquency thresholds, EBO Buyout analysis)
• Provide 2nd line support for the oversight of the Counterparty Credit team, MSR hedging activities, integration efforts undertaken in core Capital Markets systems (i.e. Pipeline and MSR)
• Oversight and management of compliance to internal and external commitments (Statutory responses, Agency requests, internal P&P maintenance).
• Successfully manage staff in an effort to meet the daily/weekly/monthly program risk program criteria

Key Result Areas:

• Actively track and communicate risk metric results as per established criteria and policy
• Contribute to the monthly market risk regulatory deck with attention to details and gather comments for breaches
• Conduct periodic financial performance reviews of broker/investment/borrowing counterparties as the program dictates (time of issuance, quarterly, annually)
• Serve as credible challenge to business for valuation, delivery and risk assumptions
• Perform credible reviews of internal process and assumptions tied to MSR acquisition and disposition
• Raise critical developing matters at a corporate level or in Market that impact the risk profile
• Ad-hoc reports - Gather data and work on ad-hoc reporting for senior management and risk presentations
• Provide analytical insight related to impact of credit profiles and prepayment speed to the value of the servicing right.


To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the following education and/or experience:
• A Bachelor's degree is required - MBA is preferred
• 5+ years of risk management experience in a large, complex financial services company
• Prior experience working in the consumer credit industry is required
• Comprehensive risk management knowledge including, but not limited to, credit, market, interest rate, counterparty and liquidity risk
• Strong analytical skills and knowledge of financial and economic fundamentals; Outstanding knowledge of the tools and methodologies used to measure and quantify risk, including the use of models
• Exposure to valuation modeling for pipeline, MSR, hedging, whole loan delivery is a plus
• A broad understanding and knowledge of industry best practice and regulatory expectations for risk management
• Excellent project management skills, demonstrated through prior experience in the ownership of issues and management of these issues to resolution
• Outstanding communication skills, both oral and written, and the ability to communicate clearly at all levels of the organization
• High proficiency with Microsoft Office products and extensive experience in preparing executive-level PowerPoint presentations are required
• High level of professionalism, self-motivation and a strong sense of urgency
• Knowledge of SQL, Excel Macros and dash boarding tools is helpful
• Experience working with US based firms and managing off-shore staff
