The Manager, Data Transformation will report to the Vice President, Lending IT and will be dedicated to developing and maintaining a platform that makes data available and accessible to our business partners to make data driven decisions. This team works closely with Report Developers, Analytics Analysts and Business Managers to understand their data requirements to build the appropriate platform to meet or exceed those needs.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Act in a technical leadership capacity mentoring team members and applying technical expertise to challenging programming and design problems.
  • Contribute at a senior level to the data warehouse design and data preparation by providing direction to implement a robust, extensible design that supports key business flows
  • Document technical components and requirements for seamless data extraction and analysis on the data platform. Build data expertise and own data quality for allocated areas of ownership.
  • Work with business master data leadership to refine a Master Data Program that evolves over time from cleansing to ongoing quality management and opportunity identification.
  • Manage a systems solution that automates the rules, policies, oversight and quality of master data. Define rules, process flows and policies for master data quality and data management automation.
  • Participate in governance team discussions and provide a strong voice on critical decisions.
  • Identify, build, and monitor key performance indicators to measure the success of a data quality and master data program.
  • Work with business data stewards and system analysts to provide appropriate standards for review, update, and creation of master data records across disparate systems to provide uniform definitions of key data components.
  • Participate in system implementation projects where needed to ensure that data standards are updated and that ownership for new data elements are established where appropriate.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the following education and/or experience:

  • Bachelor degree in Information Technology, Marketing, Statistics or similar required. Master's degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in Data Quality Management including Data Flows, Scorecards/Dashboards, Master Data Management, and Data Warehousing.
  • 3+ years of management and direct supervisory experience with data teams.
  • Extensive experience working with data warehousing and/or master data management concepts, terminology and architecture
  • Knowledge of advanced SQL and scripting for automation. Experience with ETL and Master Data tools.
  • Experience with output of data to analytic and reporting platforms. PowerBI or Tableau preferred.
  • Experience in building data architectures and data flow diagrams, both current and future state preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong command of business English, both written and verbal.
  • Experience working in a technical leadership capacity mentoring new team members
