Job Functions and Responsibilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Develop a robust product offering and roadmap that will drive competitive advantage and enable execution of growth projections
  • Assess feasibility of HELOC and Non-QM product rollouts
  • Provide recommendations on product expansions and new product offerings
  • Develop and maintain multi-year product development budget and a view of resources required to execute on the product roadmap
  • Manage relationships with liquidity partners including overseeing financing, trades, and any capital markets execution related activity (like securitization, etc.)
  • Gather inputs from business units to develop robust knowledge of current product offerings and perform gap analysis
  • Review and analyze Agency-related announcements and bulletins and keep pace with all regulatory changes
  • Collaborate with Credit Policy/Risk to assess process and system impacts from Agency-related announcements and communications
  • Manage rating agency relationships and any related work (like originator/servicer review, etc.)
  • Facilitate product review sessions timely to enable cross-functional discussions around risks, impacts, etc.
  • Identify, quantify and develop alternatives and recommendations for any pricing, delivery, or operational risks
  • Aggregate high-level product-related business requirements and communicate to support teams/enabling functions
  • Validate technical solution proposals and deliverables satisfy product development business requirements
  • Communicate recommendations and present status updates to requisite team(s)
  • Support Credit Policy in policy and product overlay reviews and changes as needed
  • Function as a business advocate of Capital Markets in conversations with cross-functional areas
  • Develop an enterprise-wide view of the business and its interdependencies across other departments, including processes, systems, and data components
  • Prepare and conduct informal and formal presentations

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • At least 7 years of product management or related experience
  • At least 5 years of people management experience within the financial services industry
  • At least 10 years of Originations, Compliance, or Capital Markets experience
  • Experience with Agency, Non-Agency, Non-QM, Jumbo and HELOC mortgage products
  • Experience with RMBS transactions
  • Experience with Rating Agencies
  • High-level understanding of mortgage origination and sale processes
  • Proficient in financial analysis
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrated experience with multi-tasking and prioritization
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision and delivery on timelines
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent relationship management and interpersonal skills

Technical Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of all Agency and Non-Agency products, pricing, guidelines, requirements
  • Encompass knowledge
  • Risk management and integration management, quality assurance and/or systems audit experience preferred
  • Microsoft Office Suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio, Project)
