Job Description

Job Functions and Responsibilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily:

  • Responsible for daily management of reporting pipeline valuation for the Forward and Reverse portfolios
  • Responsible for providing daily / monthly value add analysis and commentary summarized by channel for Forward and Reverse valuations
  • Develop and strengthen performance dashboards highlighting margin trends by channel by portfolio
  • Detailed analysis of specific assets evaluating expected vs. actual returns, highlighting key drivers and providing recommendations to optimize
  • Monitor hedge coverage ratios and raise awareness on ineffectiveness
  • Assists in enhancements and / testing needed for improved logic, system updates, and impact analysis
  • Manage the Capital Markets vendor spend budget working collaboratively across the department teams ensuring software, tools, and services are optimized and subsequently accounted for in a cost-effective fashion
  • In collaboration with the VP, Capital Markets Reporting & Analytics Capital Markets leadership and Finance, lead the development of the annual budget for the department inclusive of creation of presentation materials for use in conveying key elements of process and strategy
  • Manage and continue to refine the expense allocation logic keeping all key stakeholders informed of quarterly enhancements
  • Work across various teams supporting various model enhancements and provide impact analysis as needed
  • Monitor and analyze pricing trends for the channels at a holistic channel level
  • Establish cross-functional partnerships throughout the company keeping various departments aware of key acquisition / disposition activity ensuring liquidity thresholds are maintained
  • Responsible for policies, procedures and controls around reporting and analytic processes
  • Assist and continue to buildout GNMA HECM reporting and analysis
  • Monitor and continue to buildout Mortgage Servicing Rights (MSR) reporting and story dashboards


To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the following education and/or experience:

  • Bachelor's degree with a focus in Finance, Economics, Mathematics or related field of study preferred
  • CFA preferred
  • 7 + years' experience and exposure in Capital Markets / Secondary Marketing
  • 4+ years' experience in the Mortgage industry required
  • Solid understanding of financial activity, including profit analysis, returns, and waterfall pricing
  • Exposure to MBS derivatives and MSR assets preferred
  • Exposure to creation of forecasting and / budget financials preferred
  • Ability to independently analyze, lead, and present with limited guidance for Consumer Mortgage Lending products
  • A successful track record of developing strong relationships across a broad range of leadership levels and functional areas
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently
  • A demonstrated and proven ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced deadline-driven and constantly changing environment.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills (both oral and written)
  • Proven attention to detail, with excellent analytical, critical thinking, problem solving, and personal organization skills.
