Job Description

Job Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Lead Review of Daily Reports, including the active pipeline/ position, the hedge position, and other associated reports such as the P&L attribution
  • Identify issues, deviations, or areas of concern that require further investigation within these Daily Reports and escalate/remedy as required
  • Lead research efforts and root cause analysis with regards to identified issues in Daily Reports
  • Lead resolution efforts for Daily Reports, including interfacing with the risk management vendor (MIAC)
  • Manage requests for re-runs of position or reports, including re-runs required by changes to system in order to isolate impact and confirm correct adoption of change
  • Support Secondary team in updating the risk management system used to price and value the position
  • Support Secondary team in development of controls related to the risk management system and associated reports
  • Work with Traders to remediate any issues with the systems related to pricing, valuations, or hedge positions
  • Support the buildout of new margin adjusters within the risk management/ pricing engine
  • Support the development of pricing, margin management and valuation calculations for new products within the associated systems
  • Support technical deployment of pricing logic
  • Liaison between Secondary team and the vendor/ systems
  • Support development of daily analytics to monitor the position and automate detection of issues
  • Lead error or issue tracking and provide root cause analysis
  • Represent Capital Markets and coordinate participate in testing system enhancements
  • Contribute to the process of model and technology improvement across various analytic and database tools
  • Operate as the subject matter expert and escalation point for the MIAC system for the pricing and trading team
  • Lead navigate and troubleshooting through MIAC databases and analyze root cause of pricing or valuation related discrepancies
  • Support Best Ex and trade activities


  • Bachelor's degree required; Prefer focus in either (a) Engineering, Software Development, Technology, or (b) Finance, Economics, Mathematics
  • Minimum of 5 years working experience in a related field
  • 3 Years' Experience in the mortgage industry required; Knowledge of capital markets preferred
  • 3-5 Years' Experience in Technology required; Knowledge of MIAC or other risk management system preferred
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience with SQL
  • Superior attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Superior communication skills and strong teamwork skills
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently
  • Ability to interface confidently with internal/external parties
