Operating Principles

Helping homeowners is what we do

We understand how important homeownership is to our customers and communities across America. We proudly serve over 1 million families with their mortgage needs by helping to find real solutions that benefit our customers and build stronger communities

  • CARING FOR HOMEOWNERS – We commit to helping each homeowner better afford and stay current on their mortgage loans and stay in their home.
  • CARING FOR COMMUNITIES – We engage in homeownership initiatives and partnerships to educate homeowners, help keep neighborhoods and communities strong, and give back to the communities where we live and work.
  • CARING IN ACTION – We welcome feedback and personal accounts from customers and communities on how Ocwen demonstrates our caring philosophy to benefit them.

We are all the business

Operating as one team is critical to our success. This means we have a common understanding of what it takes to be successful and are all working collaboratively to achieve a common set of goals. All of us must ensure our actions are aligned to the Company’s goals and in the best interest of Ocwen and our stakeholders.

Be laser-focused on profitability and growth

Our financial results are an indication of our ability to operate productively and efficiently and to attract and retain clients and customers. Profitable growth generates value for our employees, our customers and our shareholders. It enables us to sustain our business and successfully compete in the marketplace.

Remain agile and forward-looking

The mortgage industry is constantly evolving, and we must be able to adapt our business and strategy to respond quickly to changes to the environment. What worked yesterday or today may not work for tomorrow. At the same time, anticipating changes will allow us to stay ahead of the competition.

Act with a sense of urgency and simplicity

Moving our business forward requires a sense of urgency. Create action that is relentlessly aimed at results and strive to show some progress each and every day. Prioritize the important work, make smart decisions and act on them quickly. Avoid complexity that can unnecessarily slow our progress or create opportunity for mistakes.

Maintain objectivity and deal in facts

We operate in a dynamic and complex industry. Navigating our environment safely will depend on effective decision-making. We will make better decisions when we decide with and deal in facts, objectively consider alternatives, measure our performance and debrief so we can adjust going forward.

Diversity & Inclusion

Our core values drive the way we do business, including how we interact with homeowners, investors, communities, stakeholders and each other. Our values are the key to our success. Diversity and inclusion are an integral part of our core values, which are built on a commitment to integrity and ethical behavior.

We respect each team member’s unique character and contributions. Ocwen’s workforce represents varied backgrounds and experiences from throughout the world, a significant strength for Ocwen providing a competitive advantage. Because of our diverse workforce, we gain valuable insights from all levels of the organization that lead to better business solutions and more engaging work for our team members. Solid solutions come from using the talents of every individual.

At Ocwen, we view diversity as a strategic initiative for our business. That is why we are strengthening our diversity and inclusion programs and continue to develop the necessary infrastructure, workplace environment and goals to ensure outstanding performance.
